How to Consign

Preparation Guidelines

  • For new accounts, we require at least 15 consignable pieces to open the account.
  • All items should be current styles, no more than about 3 years old, in like-new condition, and appropriate for the current season we are accepting.
  • Clothing must be brought in on hangers. Clothing brought in bags or boxes will not be reviewed. If you do not have hangers to use, you may pick up hangers from us in advance at no cost.
  • Shoes, purses, and accessories may be brought in bags or boxes.
  • While clothing does not need to be pressed, it should be freshly laundered and free of wrinkles.
  • Check items to ensure that they are free of stains, holes, odor (smoke, mothballs, essential oils, etc., even strong detergents), pet hair, and signs of excessive wear. Groups with strong odors will be sent back in their entirety.
  • Accessories, purses and shoes must be in like-new condition as well. Check for toe prints, scuffs, buildup, turning metals, missing stones, flaking materials, broken straps, pen/makeup marks, etc.
  • Batteries are required in all watches so that we may ensure that they working properly.
  • Be sure to check pockets and purses for personal items.

How to Start

  • Items may be brought in Monday thru Saturday. Our intake cutoff time is 30 minutes before closing.
  • We will go through your items while you are in the store and hand back any ‘no thank you’s. Due to the amount of items we receive, we no longer allow ‘drop and run’s and any ‘no thank you’s that have been left behind will be donated at the end of the day without further notice.
  • Currently, we do not use appointments but it is advised to give us a call the day before or the day of you bringing your things to make sure that we are currently accepting items. With the large volume that we receive, we do reach maximum capacity for intake at times and will halt all intake until we are at a manageable amount.
  • We do not carry items in or out of the store for consignors, so please ensure that you have the assistance that you need before arriving.

The Finer Details

  • Consignor will receive 40% of the selling price of an item, excluding tax and/or fees, up to the expiration date.
  • Pricing is at the discretion of the store. There are multiple sales and promotions throughout the year and all items that fit the criteria will be included.
  • We do not call consignors to remind them to pick up expiring items or money earned. You may call at any time during regular business hours to check if you have money available, as well as check on out dates for items.
  • Money earned may be cashed out at any time while in store or used as store credit. At your request, a check can be mailed instead of cash received.
  • After one year of inactivity, any money left on account will be converted to store credit and may not be paid out in cash or check.
  • Items to be returned are to be found and pulled from the sales floor by the consignor. We print a list of items that are still available to make the process easier, and will show you how to identify your items on the tag.
  • Items that expire and are not picked up by the consignor before the 91st day become property of the store to dispose of at our discretion. Many items are donated to charities that we wish to see thrive, while some items will be sold at a discounted price. Items that may sell after their expiration date are credited to the store account.
  • “Inspired by” and “knock-off” items will not be accepted. For luxury items, if proof of authenticity (paperwork or receipts) is not provided and/or cannot be determined by staff, a third-party authentication company will be used. There is a $25 fee for this service.
  • Any items found damaged after initial inspection will be sold at a discount or donated without further notice.
  • Items brought for consignment may not be listed for sale elsewhere by the consignor. Failure to comply may result in the closure of the consignor’s account.
  • We accept pieces in-store only and do not go to vehicles or properties to look through items.
